Christopher D. Hopkins

Christopher “Chris” Hopkins is the Assistant Director for the Somerset County Department of Emergency Services. He joined the department in June 2025 after retiring from the Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services, where he served as Deputy Director. Chris brings 26 years of experience in 9-1-1 operations and emergency management, along with 32 years of service as a Volunteer Firefighter and Paid EMT-B. His career reflects a lifelong dedication to public safety and community service.
